This IP*Mobile is linked to an IPOL-Rater online demo system ("http://ipol-rater.cissltd.com") with the same username and password of test/test. Our IP*Mobile application is developed to work with web services (real time or queued up batch transactions) that are integrated with the desktop version of Inventory Pro for Windows or IPOL (Inventory Pro Online). IP*Mobile for smartphones requires a backend SQL Server or free SQL Express^TM database and Windows IIS services to connect the web services to the Inventory Pro database. IPOL is a web browser-based version of our Inventory Pro for Windows system. IPOL has the same functionality as Inventory Pro for Windows^TM plus much more! IPOL is iPad/iPhone/iPod compatible and also compatible with Android tablets and smartphones.

CISS does not support the internal camera built into the devices as a barcode scanner, as the cameras are too slow and cumbersome to switch (activate) and efficiently scan barcodes with. What CISS does support is the Socket CHS 7C (photo below) bluetooth barcode scanner for the iPhone/iPad/Android devices, about $275. You can use the Socket CHS 7C directly with IPOL or through IP*Mobile (app that runs on the device in conjunction with web services on your backend server) and these smart devices to look up orders, receive, issue, locate and move, etc...complete inventory system functionality! IPOL can be run on a local Intranet (internal use only) or globally on the Internet/World Wide Web (www).

IP*Mobile and IPOL can also be run on smartphones and tablets without scanners. You can just type the information in directly to the field using the keyboard. So, scanner or not, you can use your smartphone or tablet with Inventory Pro.
