In business, we always like to enforce specific processes to avoid mistakes. Inventory pro allows for various workflows to be created to enforce process controls, track approval of orders, and send alerts.
Purchasing, Shipping, Work Orders, Transit Slips, and Cycle Counts all currently support workflows and approvals. This system is designed to enforce a flow of activity through either specific users or user groups. Different workflows can also be established for different warehouses.
An example workflow would be a low permission user creating a shipping order, which notifies an administrator to approve, deny, or cancel the order. If approved, the order will notify the warehouse manager to process the order. If denied, the order would go back to the creator for revision.
