Customization

Inventory Pro is built with various modules. We can customize these modules to suit your needs, for example we can interface with accounting software, barcoding systems, mobile devices, and more!

Inventory Pro allows you to customize field names with a simple right click of your mouse. You can change our field names and software messages to match your industry terminology and even establish custom configurations. Each workstation can have its own unique configuration of Inventory Pro!

Add-In Manager

Use the add-in manager to create your own in-house customization of the system or contract with CISS or a third party to do the work for you. The database is a standard SQL-compliant relational database.

Security

System security in Inventory Pro allows you to share information with customers, employees, and vendors while protecting the integrity of the data. You assign the read, modify, insert, or delete privileges for each user or group all the way down to the field level. Local and remote users will only have access to the data you want them to see. This built-in security allows the system to provide vendor managed inventory (VMI) and e-commerce solutions within Inventory Pro.

Accounting System Interfaces

Inventory Pro has a standard integrated interface to Sage’s Business WorksTM accounting system. This interface is sold separately and completes a total Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. If you already have an accounting system, Inventory Pro can be customized to interface with it.

Reporting System

Inventory Pro includes a robust reporting system that allows you to query virtually every aspect of the system and to format the report as your needs dictate. Plus, data is organized in a hierarchical tree format, which allows you to quickly browse an entire family of information. If you need additional reports that are not available in our standard package, no problem. We can customize them for you.

Reports

  • The Reporting System contains a comprehensive set of reports that allows you to query almost every aspect of the system
  • Reports can be created, copied, and customized by either CISS or your IT if they have the relevant skills
  • Search, Filter, or Sort by any column on every report
  • Each report can be printed directly to a printer or to a pdf file
  • Reports can be exported directly to excel for additional processing, filtering, or import into other systems

RFID

  • CISS’s suite of products and services supports the latest in technologies including RFID.
  • RFID is becoming an integral part of supply chain management and CISS is prepared to support and make recommendations on how to integrate RFID into your inventory management processes.
  • RFID is designed to automate the process of collecting inventory data in order to track goods in the supply chain (typically a serial number) through radio frequencies (RF). Electronic tags or RFID tags (passive or active) located on the items transmit the stored information to receivers (readers) that typically send this digital information to your database.
  • The most common applications for RFID are tracking goods, reusable containers, high value tools and other assets, and parts moving through a manufacturing production line.
